Blast from the not so distant past

Here are two of the first dresses I ever made, I drafted the patterns from scratch. Looking back they are not greatly made but for my first attempts I was pretty pleased. I now know more about garment construction ect so if I were to redo these I have more knowledge on how to create a more successful garment.

What Brand? Ms. soon to be Mrs Brand

Ok so I have a bit of a style crush on Katy Perry, I love how she is so open to wear anything she feels like! (it helps she has the body to wear anything she likes also) She is an inspiration to me and she is so comfortable in herself she makes me want to be comfortable in myself. Yes, like everyone she has made some fashion blunders but on the whole I think her style is so unique, diverse and individual and completely unexpected it just works and keeps you on your toes.
Katy Perry I commend your addition to the celeb fashion world!

Bank Holiday Monday tasks

I was in the shop by myself bank holiday Monday (3rd May) so I was challenged to do a few displays, I decided to photograph them so that I can document them for future reference ect. So yes I have done displays of vintage bags and shoes to go with the clothing around the shop. I hope I did a good job at keeping with colour schemes and creating a link between the accessories and clothing!

Dress up with the sister

Here is my wonderful sister modeling some fabulous Me & Yu, Belle came into the shop while Angie and I were having a bit of a quiet day so I decided to play dress up with her and snapped some of the styling. We have vintage pieces mixed with hand made goodies. I had loads of fun bossing my sis around telling her to try this with this ect. She ended up buying the blue dress which is made from vintage 50's fabric and is only one of two! I'm jealous and I want it!!!

Coco Rocha: Coe-coe Roe-sha

I've been rubbish at posting recently and for that I'm sorry. I will try harder!
So while I was looking round on the internet I ended up on elleuk.com, my fashion lifeline and I manadged to come accross this little gem: http://www.elleuk.com/fashion/fashion-phonetics
See if you are like me and can not for the life of you pronounce some designers names this breaks it up phonetically so that you can see how it is really spelt and then how it should sound, it's genious! so yes I now think I shall be memorising as many of these as possible!
